Since you like to ignore meanings of words and make up your own, what is YOUR definition of cult, and why does the WTBS NOT fit it?
Because the definition that the rest of the world goes by for the term 'cult' fits the WTBS perfectly. And as they say, if it looks, walks and quacks like a duck....
Dont come here with such ignorance and expect to be handled with kid gloves just because your feelings are easily hurt. And don't forget that this CULT has gone to great lengths to damage the very members of this site. If you don't understand that, then either you have a lot of learning to do, or there is no hope for you.

Why remove John 8:1-11 in the NWT if these verses speak highly of Jesus
by I_love_Jeff ini understand these verses were removed in the nwt as well as some other bibles because they were added later & considered uninspired.
jesus protected an adultress so why remove it?
it fits in nicely with his teachings, does it not?

The entire canon has been added to and modified for thousands of years... There's no reason to harp on them for this any more than there is to harp on scribes 1000 years ago. Even if one were to believe the bible is inspired, there is no was to distinguish which parts are and which aren't. Bart D. Ehrman has done a lot of great work on this.
In regard to Matt 8:1-11, it directly contradicts the WT's shunning policy. If Jesus were real, he wouldn't have participated in shunning. Plain and simple. These verses were an easy choice for removal by the WT.

So abortion is never justified? Where should we draw the line? Should the little girl who was raped by her father or brother not have a right to an abortion?
Should the mother who is not healthy enough to carry a baby to full term without significant injury or death to herself and her baby not be afforded the same rights? I'm not talking about late-term abortions just because the mother didn't feel like a child at the time. That's what adoption is for.
And in regard to your comparison: I've never heard of blastocysts being starved and worked to death. Shame on you for even trying to draw that parallel.

by Laika inthe last report i gave in was for the month of may, meaning as of today, i have missed 6 months of reports, and am officially inactive!
(though the last time i actually went out was march, gave fake reports for april and may).
feels like a milestone.

was the topic of the book/brochure study last week.. the answer not presented is that they are the organization's black friday.
stores do black friday as a loss leader to get people into the stores to spend money on more pricey stuff, not discounted.. assemblies are put on to give away books and other literature and have dramas to get people in to donate and contribute more than normally done.. yes, religion is a business.

Yup. Chill the F out. Try and remember hat whatever you say to your kids affects them 10x as much as you think. I can still recite arguments with my parents almost word for word when they went too far. How would you see it if he started calling you names instead of explaining himself?
No, "because I said so" is never good enough. If you want them to grow into self-sufficient responsible adults you do have to explain yourself. A lot. Don't just hope they will figure it out on their own. Knowing why certain decisions are made will make them question less, and make better decisions on their own.
I was raised with your parenting style. It took a LONG time to work out on my own, and I resented my upbringing because of it for a very long time. My folks and I are still not very close.
